part two: my favorite spots in and around Greenville
Welcome to our "Best of Greenville" guide! As a local business owner and passionate advocate for our vibrant community, I'm excited to share my favorite spots in Greenville, SC. Whether you're a longtime resident or a first-time visitor, this guide will take you through the best places to eat, shop, and explore in our charming city. From hidden gems to popular destinations, you'll discover the unique and delightful experiences that make Greenville truly special.
Coffee
Mountain Goat
Our go-to spot for delicious coffee and specialty Liège waffles. Plus, all profits support GOAT which is a local non-profit that helps kids experience the outdoors. 100/10
Tandem
When someone asks for a "good coffee and good breakfast" suggestion, Tandem is it for me. The seasonal crepes are so good and their savory options are delicious and filling!
A Quick(ish) Bite
Asada
I often joke that if we had our wedding in Greenville, we would have had Asada cater it. It's not really a joke though, I feel that passionately about how good their food is.
The Commons
My family loves The Commons because everyone can pick what they want to eat. And it's right on the Swamp Rabbit Trail for a post-dinner walk.
Shopping
My favorite independently owned shops!
Given - women's clothings, home goods and gifts
Half Moon Outfitters - outdoor gear + athleisure clothes
Dear Greenville - stationary + paper goods
Travelers Rest Farmers Market - flowers, locally grown produce, live music + great vibes
The Vintage Market of Greenville - my favorite antique shop to wander around in (especially on a rainy day)
Recraft - creative reuse center that sells gently used craft + office supplies
Date Night
Sum Bar
As someone who loves tapas style meals, Sum Bar is a dream because everything is sharable size and so delicious. Their menu includes dim sum and Asian-inspired cocktails, perfect for a unique dining experience.
Other Lands
If Amend was a cafe/brewery, it would look like Other Lands. The cozy vibes and weekly events make it a great hang out spot, especially with their large outdoor (+ dog friendly) patio.
Swamp Rabbit Cafe
Sometimes date night just means grabbing smoothies from the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and walking on the trail after work to decompress and reconnect. The PBCB smoothie (sub oat milk) is my go-to!
