How To Clean Your Dish Brush
Our dish brush is probably the hardest working thing in our home.
And since they are made from natural fibers and therefore compostable, it's important to keep it clean and at the top of its game. One way to be "sustainable" is to take care of your items and help make them last longer.
So lets clean your dish brush.
(This works for our wooden scrub brushes, long handle brushes and bottle brush)
Step one - rinse any food particles out of your brush using warm water.
Step two - combine 3/4 cup of white distilled vinegar and a table spoon of dish soap in a bowl or cup.
Step three - swirl the brush bristles around in the vinegar solution. Make sure the bristles are submerged, but keep the handle part out of liquid.
Step four - allow to soak 1 - 2 hours, then rinse with warm water.
Step five - let dry fully (ideally in the sun), then enjoy your revived dish brush!
Pro tip: to help your brush fully dry between uses, store with the bristles facing up.
